The presence of an extra chromosome copy affects the metabolic properties of mammalian cells. In all four trisomic cellstrisomic lines examined, metabolic properties were altered alongside the impaired cell proliferationproliferation, indicating that aneuploidaneuploidy disrupts normal cellular metabolic function.
